In partnership with Villavaso & Associates and Tangipahoa Parish, Desire Line drafted the Parish’s 2045 Comprehensive Plan to guide development for the next 20 years. Adopted by the Council in 2023.

St. John the Baptist, La - Resilient Housing Plan
Desire Line worked in partnership with Smart Home America and the Parish to promote resilient housing in coastal Louisiana.

St. Tammany Parish, La - Community Needs Assessment, Consolidated Plans, and Action Plans for 2023-2027
Desire Line completed a Community Needs Assessment and 2023-2027 Annual CDBG Action Plans in support of the Parish’s 2023-2027 application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Program (CDBG-ENT).

St. Tammany Parish Government, La - Modernized Unified Development Code (UDC) Rewrite
Desire Line, working together with key stakeholders, parish staff and residents supported the adoption of an innovative, locally responsive Unified Development Code (UDC).

St. James Parish, La - Comprehensive Plan, Code Amendments, and Capital Improvement Plan
Desire Line, in coordination with local communities and the parish administration, is updating St. James Parish’s Comprehensive Plan, to development initiatives and policies for the near (2024-2028) and long-term (2024-2040).

City of Slidell, La - Comprehensive and Strategic Code Writing and Mapping Services
From 2022-2023, Desire Line provided planning consulting service that produced high priority code amendments to implement the 2040 City Comprehensive Plan, and is advancing a comprehensive code rewrite and citywide rezoning initiative.

Town of Abita Springs, La
Desire Line is supporting the development of the Town’s Safe Streets For All Action Plan, as well as advancing local code amendments, the development and adoption of a Future Land Use Map, and updates to the Town’s Zoning District Map.

City of Mandeville, La
Desire Line completed a comprehensive Content Neutral Sign Code for the City in 2023 and is currently developing the City’s 2045 Comprehensive Plan.

Allen Parish, La - Adjudicated Property Code Amendments, Webtool, Forms and Guide
Desire Line supported economic development efforts and property owners’ rights by updating standards and processes associated with the resale of adjudicated properties.

South Central Planning Development Commission, La – Louisiana Watershed Initiative, Region 6 Watershed Plan
Desire Line is using LWI watershed models to develop Region 6’s Watershed Plan with the goals of more effectively guiding land management and flood mitigation funding across 16 parishes in Louisiana, avoiding shifting flood risk across the region, and maximizing the expenditure of limited resources.
