Resilient Comprehensive Plan, Code Amendments, and Capital Improvement Plan

The Plan includes both a Capital Improvement and Strategic Implementation Plan, which lay out key initiatives and policies for the near (2024-2028) and long-term (2024-2040).  Outreach efforts include a project website, digital surveys, community meetings, and management of a project steering committee. The 2045 Plan vision and focus areas are being developed with the community and supported by science and data with a project-oriented mid-term goal and a “hazards first” approach to future land use and development.  Desire Line is also developing Code Amendments to create a new Land Development Code and parish wide subdivision regulations that plan for more predictable and sustainable growth.
