Tulane’s ReCoast is partnering with Glass Half Full, an organization dedicated to finding beneficial use for recycled glass, to restore eroded marshland and shoreline in the Bayou Pointe au Chien-Grand Bayou area along the common boundary between Lafourche and Terrebonne Parish. The Tulane-Glass Half Full Team is currently considering four projects that utilize fill composed of a mixture of ground glass sand and Bonnet Carre river silt to sustainability restore land and construct barriers in this area.

Here you will find environmental information on in-progress Tulane-ReCoast and Glass Half Full’s Coastal Restoration Projects located in Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes. This information is intended to support regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and other interested or affected parties’ meaningful input as part of the project’s environmental review and joint permit application processes.
